It’s no-agenda Saturday. I’m a little sleep deprived. The 90°F weather finally broke. My beater bike got a tune-up and I wanted to take it for a spin with its new chain and cassette.
I’m a fan of biking for errands as it feels like a way to streamline my life: why should Exercise be distinct from Getting Things Done?
And so I set off, aiming for the not-so-distant Saint Paul Farmers Market. I was hoping for some strawberries but fully expecting a joy ride that would yield some locally grown foodstuffs.
Mission accomplished!
I’m going through honey a little faster than usual, due to the no-processed sugars rule we’re sticking to for at least a little while longer. More honey: check. And with the herbs (shown: basil, rosemary, thyme, sage, and lavender), we’ll round out the backyard with a few more savories.
Happy summer.
